Do you think ICO is the best way to invest in?
It depends on the coin. Generally speaking though, I think ICO is not the best way to invest. Investing in an ICO is not only a do or die approach of your investment capital, it is also more like a gamble that will spell either your entire investment's life or your death. And there is not a safe way really. ICOs right now are full of scams. And there are scam ICOs out there that you cannot tell as such.
Exactly, especially due to the fact many projects are doing ICOs to fund their development, but when you give them your money you don't hold any leverage over them. That's why I believe the top tokens will be the ones built as apart of already exsisting platform. The Merkle just yesterday featured top 4 cryptocurrencies to come with no ICO.
