So I went from 314 coins this morning to 532 just now. Been getting POS rewards left and right now on 3.6.5 wallet.

As XVS team said, you should not activate staking at the moment till the version 3.7 released.
Just keep your coins in your wallet safely and stay tuned for announcement from XVS about new version of Vsync wallet, which might help to fix all problems completely.
