One thing I want to confirm, Ripple is a token, and Bitcoin is a Crypto currency.
The banks of course will select the best thing to profit themselves but will the crowd need bank in the future. Think about that. You can transfer money to anywhere in the word, then WHY you need to go to the bank, deposit your cash, pay the transfer fee and wait few days with very limit amount. If you want a bigger amount, you must ask for permission in some countries. Then What would you think people like to do? Stay home with a few click on your laptop, smartphone, PC, etc. and your money will be transfer in just a few minutes or even few seconds without limitation. Think about that.
But bitcoin const transactionis just too hight that's why people choose ripple to send small amount instead of using bitcoin. Those who bought ripple may think that it will skyrocket due to supported by many financial corporations such a bank, I personally think that Ripple has bright future but will it beat the bitcoin? I'm sorry I don't think so, bitcoin is still the best.

I just don't get it or understand why someone would buy a centralized coin. Isn't the wonderful and unique thing about bitcoin and cryptocurrency is being decentralized? I just don't see the point at all and it contradicts the main goal of cryptocurrency. I will still pick bitcoin and will never buy ripple no matter how high and how big the profit it will give.
Basically, it is against the concept that Satoshi Nakamoto has been proposed. In decentralized you have control over your asset and it's a good thing like I've said above those who bought ripple they just didn't care about this thing, I personally care about it.
