It scares me a little bit that it takes so long until people notice! But it is not so bad, it just leaves me a little doubt the clarity of the people who read too much Fud!

Private if you want it!
Cheap transfer! (can be changed after under when the price goes up)
And really decentralized!

While i agree that Verge is pretty fast their are faster coins as well.
While i agree that the transfer is quiet cheap, there are others, even free for transfer.
Decentralized? I personally have some other views on what is really decentralized, so i would no say its 100% decentralized.
I wrote the above just to make clear that there is nothing special about it nowadays. If someone wants to outperform a competitor he must be best, not just good at something.

You as well forget another very important factor. 16,555,000,000 XVG Max. supply. This is a lot of Verge and means that every impact is measured in cents, not dollars as it would be with a coin of let's say 50M Max supply.

About the numbers you have stated. If you really believe in these numbers you are somehow very optimistic. US$ 3.80 would mean a market cap of 62,909,000,000 US$. This simply will not be happen. If you settle the long term price at 0.50 USD than you make a very good profit too and won't be disapointed not reaching 1, 2 or 3 Dollars. Just by the way. 0.50 USD for a 16.5B coin is quiet impressive as well.

Just check out how many XRPs are there and what was its All Time High and MCap. Is it faster than XVG? Is it decentralised? Is is the best coin? Answers to all these questions is a BIG NO.

XRP is a shitcoin with marketing done right.

XVG is coin with a great potential with marketing done wrong.

In long run the success is decided by the usability and not by marketing.


P.S.: Replace TRX by XRP in above and the argument still holds true.



I agree, XVG marketing could definitely be improved, why settle for just usability though when you can have both? Hopefully making big deals like this is a step in the right direction, it is marketing itself at the moment.

That is the core of the issue. XVG's marketing has always been sloppy.Hopefully that will change now with partnership as they will have a partner that they can use to pick up some tricks from and coordinate better.
