12000$ is quite a lump. To be on the safe side it's better to diversify your portfolio. I would invest 50% in Bitcoin and make it a long term HODL for a couple of years. Other 25% I would transfer for purchasing promising coins like Fusion (FSN) or Tezos (XTZ)..
