I don't think they are relevant, the cartoon cat is called "copy cat" from what I saw on the pic.
If you want accurate translation, "fried cat" should be translated as "煎 猫"，but here in China everyone calls him "烤猫" which should be translated as "baked cat" or "grilled cat"...
