I really hate when some people say that bitcoin has no value at all. OP is correct that time will make bitcoin very valuable. The paper money was perceived to be valuable so we can also do it with bitcoin.
People are just not used to this new form of currency, it is very likely that the same happened when fiat was first introduced back in the day, can you imagine the disbelief of people that have been using gold and silver coins for thousands of years and then they were told that they will need to use these pieces of paper? The same is going to happen now with people so used to fiat and now they are told that this new electronic and invisible currency is better.
