I like MEW and don't plan to change it, I use it with ledger and I think for those who don't have ledger or trezor should buy one, in case this is not possible now, follow all the rules how to keep your data and keys safe, don't open the links or emails  you don't know and everything will be fine. There was no hacking, there was a replacement for DNS servers and these are different things.
