Do more research in to XSPEC, I would drop that first from your list.
Had a dev breakup, original dev was full of it, no concept or approach to stealth staking as of now either.

Been forked/split now with disputes between the old dev and team, it has a chance in the future but I wouldn't bank on it.

I like your view on Holo, will be buying this if it dips some more, bit wary after the recent pump

You have to believe in BTC, the whole market is tied to it, but I rather invest in alts than hold BTC, I swap based on movements, agree on Ripple though.

also not a fan of Verge of Tron, ADA is ok.

Agree with XBY being a scam, did a little research in to it awhile ago, 1 dev claiming the world with little github commits

Your approach seems ok, would look at a combo of mid and high risk though over just high risk, I've had "mid risk" coins outperform the rest.

Many thanks for the XSPEC heads up! I will definitely look into it today evening. What do you define as "mid risk" coins (excluding TRX, ADA and XVG)? Coins like WAVES, STRAT, DASH, QTUM, OMG,..?

I view mid risk more as great projects which haven't pumped and still have a good amount left on the roadmap with high volume.
You could view some of the higher cap coins as mid risk too, but the work which drove them up to those price points is done and bought up on, if they slow on development things could turn south.

High risk would be either a lot of speculation with little proof but a great concept, or similar to my above mid risk with little attention and low volume.

Neblio I consider a mid risk, Blockport a high risk for my 2 shilled examples.
I have enough faith in both projects and the teams though, I don't tend to go for the pure speculative high risk types, although I may do with Holo just because of the innovation and solution brought in by this tech, based on it's lack of work so far and nothing but speculation I would usually avoid, the 2 I've mentioned have already proven themselves some what with lots of work ahead and both solid additions to this space.
