As far as I remember, they were referring to the airdrop registration deadline. Next week, we'll have updates from the core team about our current situation.

Sounds pretty clear cut to me that they are referring to token distribution and not airdrop ending. Two months later and ...... same old message soon or two weeks or we are working on pre sales or we are working on audits ...... even if this doesn't turn out to be a scam its very poor messaging.
