Consider normal car air filters:
They are designed to allow the passage of thousands of CFM and do a great job of filtering very small dust particles.
I have used them on std computer cases:  Flow isnt restricted at all and not a speck of dust to be seen.

A number of rectangular type air filters can easily be mounted in a frame, or a duct ac be manufactured to it a filter to the intake of each miner.
