You need to monitor because bitcoin values keep moving, there are some sites that can be used like bitcoin checker and ticker widget. Both can provide information whether it has reached the value you want. After that stay you decide to buy or want to sell.
Those in top 5 coins we should have it in our list and in our wallet, it is good to invest with them so don't ever take them for granted, as per me I see to it that at least I have some of them that I can use in my future, I may not be a big whales or whatever I just see to it that at least I have savings from those coins.
