So, in my opinion, speculating is almost everything where we invest our money. You can invest in your education, get some skills and similar but if you Invest money in the financial instruments  ( forex, stocks, commodities, crypto, options or accommodation for example ) you always speculate for a better price in the future. We all do this because we wanna earn money. But I would say we almost all are investors, not players in the casino.
