yeah actually I don't know any service that offers fixed returns except poloniex lending (which is not actually fixed ) but I guess all the gambling sites never ended a year with a loss and usually the returns are like double that
it's still cool but if freebitcoin can expand the opportunities and offer higher returns ( even if it was not fixed ) that would be really great
I lend out on Bitfinex as well and the overall return is better but when the market is quiet like now I'm getting less than 4%. I've just been looking through wetsuits post history for a post I can't find because I'm sure when interest was first added he said he might later add higher rates for fixed periods of time. So a higher rate if you decide you want to commit to leaving it for 3 or 6 months but you can still withdraw just losing some of the interest. I'm just guessing here but maybe it is just that there are enough people have deposited at 4% so he doesn't need to attract anymore. User savings are at 1086 BTC today.
