if they invest everything they have in bitcoin, quite foolish, but if there is just a side money you would like to make profit out of, completely logical.
That is a misconception in your part. Maybe you are just so afraid to invest in bitcoin that is why you are like that. But I will told you that many people are so powerful and victorious nowadays because they invest in bitcoin. They are now popular and millionaires because of bitcoin. Try not to think negatively against bitcoin and I assure you will prosper and have more profits.
For me investing in bitcoin is not being an act of foolishness. Those people who joined and invest in bitcoin have goals and mindset to have an additional earnings and have a good means of wealth. Maybe investing an amount which you can afford to lose is not too much. Before joining into something someone needs to self studtmy and make a research so you will have no doubt whem you're already involved.
I would rather invest in Bitcoin and Altcoins then anything else. It is a great opportunity to earn money. Even when it all goes to steady water in 10, 20 years we will see the growth of the market. Fiat market is constantly growing (with inflation), why this can't happen with crypto too?

subject. Don't blindly start typing without reading what actually OP asks for. I was also shocked upon reading the title and but when I read the details, I totally understand the point as this thread was created when Bitcoin was all time high and definitely not the best time to invest. That's why it is described foolish act to invest in Bitcoin but here many users are just blinding reading the subject and have started typing totally in-approximate replies.
