Yes block chain can still survived with out bitcoin, it just that bitcoin has huge transactions in block chain compare to other tokens, because it is much more famous than to other tokens, but still it can survived even with out bitcoin.
I'm sure it will. Blockchain is not bitcoin. It's the techmology that drives btc and all other alts. Without blockchain though bitcoin and probably the whole cryptomarket won't go very far
