It could hardly surpass $8.000 a few weeks ago, right now it has been stable at around $9.000's for quite some time. Bitcoin is currently experiencing a more steady growth, rather than what happened back in December, which was a hype, resulting in high prices. It will eventually surpass $10.000 but that time isn't now. Possibly in a month, since it seems to be going down again, thus a dip seems quite possible.
