I think yes.

Due to quick technology and Bank environment, it's could be.

Banks have nothing to do with xrp and can not work with something where price yo-yo's all over the place.
Banks don't like public open transparent transactions.
Banks need stable price thats why they create there own blockchain Corda with over 200 banks supporting it with the likes of: Bank of America, Merrill Lynch, CITI, Credit Suisse, DBS, HSBC, J,P,Morgan, MUFG, OCBC, Standard Chartered, UOB, SGX, Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS)
