So what is the process for getting a request like this in front of the development team for an opinion at least? I read up on https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/BIP_0001#BIP_Work_Flow and it mentions vetting the idea on this forum as a starting point. Who typically chimes in on this sort of thing, and when do we know if it is worth writing up a BIP or not? I'm fairly new to this process, so forgive any naive questions.
