There are three main categories of bitcoin stakeholder. Someone may fall under more than one of these categories, and each category has its own legal considerations.
Its not legal or illegal in my country. They have not yet announced anything on this, but the RBI authority has informed all the exchanged not deal with any crypto currencies transactions. They have given 3 months time to eradicate the current deals with crypto currencies. But many including the exchanges have filed a case against RBI and now its under progress. Hope, the exchanges win the battle and crypto gets accepted by the government.
