I think banks will be their forever. If all the people start using bitcoin, bank will also change their services for survival. Bitcoin has their own features and benefits.
That is what more likely to occur since they have not been in cryptocurrency yet and they can use blockchain to improve their services. All customers that have been depositing and using banks will still be able to keep their money safe more than they are. If anything was lost by your own its to hard to claim it by other people or your family. Banks is good on holding your money or if not banking with bitcoins.
