If he is big enough to have an office and team, he would be selling it through official channel or at least set up a company website to selling it to other company.
What you're describing here is that he sells it to individual via chat/private message
Just stay away from it, you might have gotten a non-functioning script or script with malicious codes in it, the risk are not worth the price here.
