The sale is planned to start either late today or tomorrow.
I will buy the chips and assemble them as fast as i can, it will take a minimum! of 2 weeks.

Aren't 55nm bitfury chips out-of-stock?

cf. http://www.bitfurystrikesback.com/product/bitfury-55nm-asic-chips/
Also OOS on mbp

And that's exactly what stopped me in my tracks.
They went out of stock right at the time i had everything sorted out and wanted to order them.
I had to talk to my suppliers first to ensure the planned timing could be matched.

But i am in contact with Dave and Punin so might be able to get a reel.

damn, that sucks... Just one of those things though I guess.
Even if Burnin IS able to obtain a reel it seems time is running out for it to be profitable both for him as well as customers.

This. Nearly 2 weeks have passed already.
Not sure if it's that time dependent. The price of the bitfury ASIC is dependending on the (expected) difficulty. So it will be cheaper in future but the good efficiency (also in comparison to 28nm ones) of the chip and burnins good design is still the same.
