If what you say is true, are those $trillionaires doing this for fun? What is the final goal, keeping the masses on the leash? 
Prevent their capital from being redistributed by the Second Law of Thermodynamics.
How come? I know what the second law of thermodynamics is about (the entropy of an isolated system never decreases), but why is it applicable here (please don't say it's applicable to anything)?
