there is another coin with same symbol STR,
its stellar, people will get confused if both get listed on same exchange
They actually changed it to XLM a long time ago.
There was also confusion with Startcoin (START).
The price of StarCoin on Cryptsy began mimicking that of Startcoin, though it was way lower.
