Sorry for being late to the party but does that mean that my 2.5% donation no longer gets me instant payouts?
You can still get payouts before 120 confirmations, and on invalid blocks. The only delay is that you won't know you have any rewards (and therefor be unable to request them) until 1 hour after a block solves.
