semuxpool_com and semuxpool_com2 pools are back up and running!  Fees are now down to 5% for a few weeks.  Let's get them back running.  Just 0.1SEM min payout, so all votes welcome.

sorry for any inconvenience!  Was on vaca and had power loss.  Moved payout script to better hosting.

It is a good trend to reduce pool fees. For shure others big pools will reduced it also. Nice for ordinary users )

I would disagree.

A pool requires a 1000 SEM burn to start.

So, a new pool (assuming it could even get started because of the 48,000 required votes) will only, at a 10% fee only, get 8.6 SEM daily.

This means, a 10% fee pool will take four (4) months just to recover the burn fee and that doesn't include the cost of the server/bandwidth.  That would require about an additional 2 weeks.  And the marketting, etc.

Someone with 1000 SEM would be better off simply voting on a current pool than to start one.

semuxpool 1 and 2 at 5% means it would take over 8 months.   Quite simply, it isn't worth running a pool at 5% or even 10%.   I do not believe pools will lower their fees unless they are currently underwater and need the votes they can't supply themselves to keep them up.

You may believe or not. I am in a pool with 5% fees a few months already. Payments are regular!

I'm not sure your payments on voting in on a pool has anything to do what I said.

But, to respond to what you wrote..... lowest fee pool doesn't mean best profit.

http://pool.7u.org clearly shows that the lowest fee pool at 0% (100_tokenpar_com) is clearly the least (absolute bottom of the list) profitable ( 0.847 SEM per day per 1000 voted in) while the highest fee pool at 25% makes you nearly 150% more SEM daily.   Currently, the highest profit you make is voting in on pool 'sofia' which will pay you 1.614 SEM daily on the same number of votes even though it's fee is 8%.
