Interesting! A shame they didn't collaborate to ensure the roads would make sense but at least they've proven that roads are built without a central authority. I wonder if our improved communications will make this a much easier task...
And important to note: they
do happen to have a monopoly in charge of building roads, which was simply not doing its job. They handled the situation as they could. Considering it was a poor region when all this started, it's quite impressive!
