I prefer both. A gold in my hand and a bitcoin in my pocket  .. Maybe because here in the PH bitcoin is not stable as gold, so if I want to do some transaction inside the country I prefer using Gold but when I go to another country I will use bitcoin, knowing that bitcoin already surpass the gold in terms of value.
