Engineers of the calibre you are studying to become will build quantum crypto currencies and develop the warp core and advance the entire human race. I will be smoking purple kush and sipping lean while making beats for rappers who lie on every song and mislead the youth idiotic enough to listen. I will get paid. Just not as much as you and your R&D team will.

Haha engineers don't get paid well! Well not anywhere near as much as most people think. lol we arn't lawyers or doctors!
Also undergrad engineers don't really work on anything too novel. Most of our studies
are based on extremely well known knowledge.
I am certain I will not advance the human race, most of us over in Australia just end up in mining. Designing power systems or automating a process plant.
I like it but it's nothing fancy like working in crypto.
