I'd suggest two things...
You not change the mining algorithm too much so that existing GPUs can migrate from ETH if this coin is worth it.
Do not implement the PoS model ETH is implementing and stick with the decentralized PoW model.
Yes we will not implement the POS model, but we will find a solution to reduce the liquidity.
