What will happen to ETH if they start pushing this investigation further?

Nothing will happen, ethereum is a Swiss non-profit company and US can't do anything about that. This rumour was appearing before 10 may that said SEC will try to give an announcement about the classified of ethereum token. But nothing happened on 10 may and this was obviously FUD rumour to attack ethereum market.
