It would still be awesome if the project development would have a fast tract pace so that the community will be delighted and at the same time be excited. A demo version would be great.

Starting the development and maybe show or explain every month the progress made would be quite good indeed

At the beginning normally they work on concept and later on on platform. Of cause they can publish some information but these are very technical. As soon as the base work has been done they can work on fronted and the progress can be shown in the releases

I don't really think they gonna show the development, especially on the early stages. These kinds of information can be easily used by their competitors.

Well, they also help in getting more investors as the demos tend to gain more trust.

Nah if your idea is good, it gets stolen or someone will develope it further and better and people will go to the better one.
Competition is good, you can also get inspired by the tools of your competitors Wink

See Twitch & Youtube Gaming for example. Both the same but Twitch just does it better even you have the bigger audience on Youtube.

I also think that in such a longterm project is risky to publish something early because of the risk of being copied by their competition.
