Many people often gets confuse between digital money and virtual currency. Both are different.
Virtual currency"a type of unregulated, digital money, which is issued and usually controlled by its developers, and used and accepted among the members of a specific virtual community
Digital currency is a type of currency available only in digital form, not in physical (such as banknotes and coins).
Yes virtual currency and digital currency are not same at all, they have different features and different uses, But if we talk about worth and importance I think digital currency is much more high than virtual currency, as we are now in new era where everything is about internet and media that we use to reach our daily needs markets are turning payment systems to digital and bills are being payee by digital currency now so I think virtual currency or paper money is now surely being replaced by digital currency.
When we talk about any of the crypto currency, most of the time we get confused in calling these crypto coins as either virtual currency or digital money.

There is not much difference in between both the words and that you can use any of the word for any of the crypto currency. Being an investor, your focus should be on learning and managing the things well other than getting confused over name.
