I think market will decide this, but for me I think we can only have one Bitcoin and one Ethereum. There is no doubt EOS is a direct competitor to Ethereum and so is NEO, ICO and Wachain. Do I see it having the large numbers of developers we have on Ethereum currently, it would be a tall order to achieve IMO, so what I think first is to see ICOs lining up to list on EOS platfrom then I would think they are ready to play in the big league
