I just noticed some questions about this topic so I listed some seven reasons why people want to have a cryptocurrency transaction rather than fiat.
2. CONVINIENCE. people nowadays are so lazy that they want to have transaction while seated comfortably on their home. With just one click , crypto can be transferred as payment to whatever they want. Well, who doesnt want that anyway.

Not a long time ago I needed to buy some stuff in China at 4 am in the morning. The transaction was ready in a couple of minutes despite the timezone and all other borders and soon after I successfully got my order.
What I mean is that if I wanted to use some other payment method (like PayPal or Webmoney or even the credit card) they could easily delay my transaction and leave me in the dark for several days (you know that stuff when banks check your account for money laundering or whatever). So in some cases BTC is even more convenient than all other traditional money.
7. SHOW OFF. whether we admit it or not, some people use cryptocurrency just to make their status up. Telling their friends about how wealthy they are and keep boasting for their ego.
Ha-ha, I've never thought about that kind of reason that could attract people to cryptos 
Still, there is some particle of truth in this statement and there are really geeks who make a parade of their 80 level of technological advance
