Due to the increasing number of vehicles on the road, traffic management has become very important. Traffic issues are becoming more complicated as time passes by. It's hard to monitor 24/7 the whole roadways because of limited resources. By using drones in traffic management, it can monitor roads day and night.
While I agree that traffic management and having it monitored 24/7 is really important, I do not think that it would be a great idea to use such expensive resources like drones to monitor traffic when there are already cctv cameras available or can be placed. Not that I am raining on your parade but I think there are more things that would deserve the drones more. Just saying..
I think the application of drones for traffic monitoring is far greater than those of CCTV cameras. Drones will have a wider view when it goes higher on the air and can reach those places that don't have CCTV. They can also serve as the advanced team to confirm if there were accidents and verify status to inform the rescuers what are really needed to respond to emergency situations like this.
