Recently Bloomberg posted the information that it took hackers less than 10 years to steal over 14% of all existing Bitcoins and Ethereum from the wallets of their holders. The total sum they have stolen is more than $1,2 billion!
This is the price we pay for migrating from analog technologies to new technologies like the blockchain but am certain hacks will drop as we are aware of the hackers presence. How to protect yourself from hackers attacks?
I follow some simple steps,- Avoid clicking web addresses you are unfamiliar with
- Avoid responding to emails you did not request for password changes
- and for cryptonians like us we need browser extentions like metamask to give us some room of not been hacked
