If my memory serves me right then this is the 3rd time you are reading another 100 merit celebrating topic. Earlier today I crossed my 100 merits milestone and I am excited, I mean super excited.

There are few members in my memory who only can feel this excitement. This is a list of members started from 0 merit AFAIK:
iasenko 100+ merit celebration => Full Member thanks to the Merit system.
DdmrDdmr: Genius data analysts.
theyoungmillionaire: Example of a fighter who bounced back.
coinlocket$: Contributing the forum finding abusers plus another data analyst I guess.
bitmover: 100+ merit celebration => Finally! 101 merit and 84 activity!! Celebration Post! My thoughts on merit.
Husna QA: Outstanding tutorial creator in his/her local language.
and not the least  nullius <=== This person is out of everyone's league. Not sure if s/he feels the excitement or not.

There are more I am sure. Please remind me their name in the comment bellow. I would like to create a full list for 0 to 100+ merit achievers in the reserved comment section below to show the members who think(!):
Merit system is not working, failed!
Merit Requirements too difficult to JR. Members
You can get merit, If you have money
Why is it complicated to get merits
Haven't got any sMerits since the system was introduced
... the list keeps going on and on in the meta section.

I am happy and feel unfortunate that I started from 0 merit. Every merit I receive gives me excitement. I feel recognition of contribution. It's the mindset and attitude. A person with right attitude and mindset, can achieve anything. All these people above in the list (and below coming soon) are master in something. Being a newbie was never been easy but not end of the world like most of the newbies think. We all were newbies once.

My younger brother introduced me the forum, in last December(2017). I am blessed that after around one month, merit system were introduced. First I felt a little uncomfortable, thought it's injustice for new comers etc etc but then I started to realise that I am wrong. It has been introduced for a good cause and I need to respect and support the cause. I need to change myself to earn it.

Merit means nothing at all if you can not earn it. I regret that I received my first 4 merits from my younger brother (please don't justify until you read the explanation) but it's not reversible so I can not do anything about it. Once I realised the needs of changing myself, I started to focus on spending more time in the forum. I like the community so it was not hard for me to spend hours after hours in the forum. More time means more reading, writing, engaging, exploring, discovering new things which eventually helping me to learn new set of skills. I ended up learning things that I had no prior clue (signing a bitcoin address, PGP Encryption/Decryption). I even believe If I was not a member of this forum then I would never be able to learn the skills for the lack of discovering it in the first place. Every night before I log out from the forum I feel my improvements.

It's not even all about learning new skills and knowledge, I made some good friends (?) here. We share knowledge, agree, disagree - all sorts of things.
The best ever happened when The Pharmacist said this...
I have plenty of respect for about 20 maybe 50 people total on this forum and you're actually one of them.

I would like to thank every single person who is consistently agreeing me, disagreeing me, supporting me, ignoring me, liking me, hatting me. Nothing counts except the achievements that gives me great feeling.

Custom Bitcoin address: Coming soon.
I assume my demonstrations are done for everything I listed on the topic: Self development and BitcoinTalk [Must read for new members]
Thanks to the merit system.

ah come on why do you take merit so important and trash your life with it? no one knows how many years this forums will continue to life on. it might be gone in 3 years.

this forum is just all about bitcoin core cheerleading, it will be replaced by better forums
