In case you didn't notice, I'm wearing a signature too. So I didn't say that wearing a signature is bad as such. But the fact remains that I there are countless threads whose sole purpose is to inflate the number of post required by the campaign. And you can't even read these threads, because most of the posts are meaningless.

I didn't judge, I just said that wearing signatures in combination with low quality posts can prevent the user from getting merits.

I don't see how. It would be the case if the campaign managers selected the participants based on their earned merits, but a vast majority of managers select the participants just by rank, not merits.
