if your in the UK you can open a plus500 account and get the free £20 trade with that to get a feel. Also you can play with it with virtual money.

I had a go last year and made about $450 then lost it all in gas. I was buying and selling bank stocks and had the news on as i worked i got rather good at buying and selling then for some reason i went into gas and meh didnt do stick any money in it again.
