I was kind of thinking the same. Why would the coins have to come from an exchange wallet? Everybody can in fact send their waves to the exchange and from there to the new wallet. Or not?
Yes, you will be eligible to participate if you deposit at least 10 Waves on newly created Waves wallet. It you decide to circle Waves from your Waves wallet, you'll need to send them on an exchange first, than transfer Waves to an absolutely new Waves wallet, the filling of the Google form is also required in that case.

Why does it have to be the NEW waves addresses?
There are lots of us been holding more than thousands of waves in our wallet as yet can't receive these airdrops, it should have been us that you guys are prioritizing. Keeping another wallet just for these airdrops aren't worth, just spread the amount ot give to all holders that worked eversince.
The current promotional activity has the aim to attract new users and logically new users cannot have old Waves wallets. We will definitely think it over for the next time. Thank you.

It much more effective to award current (loyal) Waves community members with airdrops with the WCT, or MRT, than to award new community members with the airdrops. It's the golden rule in business, never forget your loyal customers.
