What are their backgrounds and credentials?
Do they have any public track records?

I think you are totally right about that. First before joining an ICO campaign we need to research the team project if they had a record of having a good handling projects. Second, who's on the team, we also need to research the who are generating the team from the team manager down to the programmer or other positions. Third, their backgrounds and credentials, We also need to know their background in the industry, if they had a good record in many projects they make, If their are records that they are scam a project. And lastly public track record. As I said earlier we need to know of they have a good record in handling ICO projects.

Hopefully you apply this kind of thing before you joined in any ICO project to avoid for you to scam.
