Since I thought that developers know their business well and work on problems and fix bugs.
Today's attack, as I understood it, is connected with the same problem in the code ..... Not enough information yet.

This might be a vey sad news that happened to Verge. The developers of Verge should endearvour to fix the bugs to arrest the ugly situation we have right now. Those 3 features that make Verge vulnerable should be corrected. Thanks for the information.
Yeah this is what I feel, it's too sad on what happened in Verge.
Verge is become a popular altcoin because of the price was keep growth and give the big profits, that's why there some people want to steal that potential coin. I hope everything will be alright.
This is normal here online. When someone is making noise many people want to test it or to will look for an advantage. What is new here? Bitfinex, Mt. Gox some Ethereum affiliated groups and many more. But sometimes you are gonna think that this is better rather than it happens when it becomes bigger and mainstream.
