This has been changed back. We had a hashrate attack on the 1000 diff port causing issues so when this happens I have a script to kick in to alleviate the effects. Stick with us We are trying to make sure there is no downtime.

Diff 1000 is for really low end hardware, the problem is many people just automatically connect to that port with high end hardware or server farms. It places massive load on the servers and its actually not optimal for mining results.
