Drones are now being tested in South Wales for the purpose of search and rescue. UAVs are best in providing the birds eye view and offer vital data that could help in search and rescue. but Phil Hanson, Aviation Technical Assurance manager at MCA, says Its still too early to comment on how we will move forward from the trials and that Drones still cannot replace helicopters, coastguard rescue teams or lifeboats.
Drones can be used to widen the range and view of emergency response team. Although helicopter rescue team is effective, using drones can be done by multiple people covering a wider range to rescue people.
the usage of drones in different situations has been proven and the most important purpose for me is to minimize death when we use drones in situations wherein there would be agreat danger if we will send real people to face a life threatening situation
