So ETH is going to use sharding to increase transaction speed?
Cobra in this post pretty much sums up the current state of ethereum scaling
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=428589.msg38125804#msg38125804I like sharding since it's onchain but we need to wait some time before it actually becomes practically viable.
In the meanwhile it's good that more and more developers are starting to invest time in offchain solutions, like Raiden and the new promising Striim. Thinking like a capitalist, Raiden has had a great success and hubii/striim will probably follow. Which is going to be a great thing for ethereum as more and more teams will become interested in doing their part to improve the ethereum network.
Agreed.
Imagining a future where ethereum network will be aided by internal solutions like sharding and multiple external offchain ones such as Raiden and Striim makes me think it will be the #1.
Eth + onchain scaling + offchain scaling will make ETH the king.
