Karpeles bought it later from him.

No need to cover anyone (I'm clueless also), but I find this kind of search rather obnoxious.
it's pretty pointless. given the technical prowess of the inventor, these are probably all clues he intended for us to find.
why would he keep himself anonymous then? you mean he intended to set people on a goose hunt to find out his identity?
