I would also be interested in understanding what CPU / memory gives the best results?
I'm running the java miner on a linux box and an i7-920 (4/8 cores) @ 2.67 Ghz and 16 GB RAM.
I reach 6.8 H/s whether I run 5, 6, 7 ou 8 threads.
Anybody with an explanation?
Have you checked the cores utilisation?
Ive been running on java miner a 6700k @4.7 and with 8 cores i get ~19, with 4 i get ~10 so id say it looks allright.
