Yes, everyone is entitled to their own decision and opinion on which market to get in and how long they want to be staying in such markets. However, from the way things have been over the years, long term investment can only be achieved in very few altcoins except you just want to hit the long term trading pattern.

Not sure how things will keep being but whichever way, we are kind of stuck with the idea that altcoins are tied in movement to how bitcoin moves, which is basically as a result of how traders perceive bitcoin market and we cannot deny that fact.
